1. For installing the upfitter switches and your new upfitter switch housing assembly, it is suggest that you start with either running the wiring from the fuse box included with the switches, or removing the overhead console from the interior of the car. The entire overhead console assembly will need to come down so that you can access the top-side of the garage door opener compartment. When running the wiring you will need to extend the wiring to the switches with preferably 18 AWG automotive (12-volt) wiring. Be sure to leave a little extra slack when running the extended wiring up your A-pillar and over to your overhead console.
2. Remove the door to the garage door opener compartment, and then on the assembly you purchased, remove all 8 screws. Be careful not to lose the washers.... there are 6 very small washers, and 2 slightly larger washers included and pre-installed. If you lose one of the smaller washers, it's honestly not a big deal... but if you want to keep them just be careful during disassembly.
3. With the 4 recessed screws removed, separate the 3D-printed bracket from the 3D-printed housing assembly. Remove the trim piece from around the switch assembly that you purchased (you can use a thin flat-blade screw driver or similar small tool to help gently pry the trim piece from the switch assembly for removal), and slide the switch assembly into the back side of the 3D-printed housing.
4. Drill or cut a hole in the top side of the garage door opener bin, large enough to pass the square connector thru to the switches. Extend the wiring going from the switch assembly to the fuse box, and run the square connector into the hole you drilled in the garage door opener bin compartment. Connect the connector to the switch assembly.
5. Reinstall the 3D-printed bracket to the switch housing using 4 of the supplied screws and 4 of the supplied small washers. The bracket will only mate flush to the housing one way, so it cannot be installed in the wrong direction.
6. Take the entire switch assembly that you just pieced together, and line it up in the garage door opener bin. Flip the overhead console assembly back over and install the remaining 4 screws with the remaining 2 small washers and 2 larger washers. The two larger washers are used on the 2 screws that are diagonal from each other will not fit in the other location pictured below, so there is no concern of mis-matching the larger washers to the wrong screws.

7. Re-install the overhead console using all OEM screws that you removed.
